Community & Economic Development
The community of Economic Development program helps communities resolve locally determined problems with objective information and educational assistance. The program also develops community leadership potential and assists communities determine long-range programs of action on such issues as economic development, community servies, community planning and visioning, land use, and community resource management.
Monroe Cooperative Extension Service works with the Monroe County Economic Development Center and the Tompkinsville-Monroe County Chamber of Commerce to assist local organizations in retaining local businesses and industries. We work to maintain and provide partnerships with Federal, State and Regional Economic Development groups as well as create new marketing tools for promotion of development in the county.
